Great job Pam on getting those ribbons. I think you are wonderful for even entering. I know you wanted to place higher but I think you did wonderful.

I don't think I'm a competitive person until something like this happens. I'm going to see if I can find the judging criteria. I'm one of those people who needs to know the "rules", sadly! It really is fun and I do appreciate the ribbons - no matter what color they are. The best part is when friends contact me to say they saw my entries.

Thanks again everyone. Next year everyone should consider entering. Our State Fair even accepts greeting cards (Cheryl).

That's fantastic Pam, and you know you are a winner in our book! Would be interesting to see what the real "guidelines" are.

I may have to think about it Pam. Cards I am usually satisfied with, layouts not as much.

Here's a page I did last night. No sun to allow a good photo and chances are it will be sideways!

Very nice!

Did you find the ones they scored higher and take notes for next year??

I think it's pretty cool that papercrafting is in the state fair. And that you were close enough to go see all the entries.

I asked about the judges and was told, "They hire only the best. It takes hours because the criteria is so detailed". Hm. I think she must have felt threatened when I asked. Joel said I was "unbelievably pleasant" when I asked. 8-)
