Thank you ladies. Greg has had a busy 5 years of this and that illnesses...therefore I learn more care giving each time.

We are sort of settled in to the apartment. I miss home already. :(

Greg is good, doing too much, as usual.

Thanks Jill. :)

Greg developed an eye infection several days ago. The eye doctor thinks it could be graft V host disease. These things happen, and it is best to catch them sooner, rather than later. He is on several eye drops, and it is getting better.

OMGosh Pat! That seems so unfair after all you both have been through. Doesn’t matter that this is a “usual” problem. I sure hope Greg’s recovery progresses well and quickly without any more “extras” to deal with.

Sending both of you my very best in healing hugs. :happy94:

Greg and I are home for a few days! The doc made us PROMISE we would come back.
Things are looking good for Greg, despite that pesky eye infection that is totally on the mend.
Greg was 37 days away from home, yikes. Today he drove for a while as he did errands.

I did basically squat, creative wise in the apartment. It does not lend itself to anything. The big foot family lives upstairs, and the apartment is constructed so cheaply that you can hear talking and even hear the people peeing if you are in the bathroom at the same time.   when the toilets above flush, oh my, crazy sounds. Totally reminds me of Tom Hanks in "A League of Their Own" & the locker room scene...

So we go back to Columbus on Sunday, and do the clinic visits early in the week. We are hoping the Doc decides to release Greg soon. He is uber concerned that Greg will continue to make his weekly clinic visits since we live 2 hours away. They do not want our local docs involved AT ALL RIGHT NOW.

Oh wow what great news Pat! I was hoping when I saw you’d joined the card swap that being home would happen soon.

Keep to your schedule and I’m so happy that Greg is recovering so well. As I said before, you two are an amazing team. :happy94:

This is great news, Pat. It sounds like Greg is making amazing progress.

I'm sure you're glad to be home even if it is for only a few days.
Love your description of the apartment.

I bet these few days at home will be so wonderful for you both.

I would think his doctors should know by now what a good patient Greg is and he wouldn't not show up and risk anything!

Enjoy your own home before going back to the cardboard apartment!
