Cool picture, Keitha. We've had snow. Right now we're just frigidly cold, as in 1ºF when I went out to go to work this morning, but we're supposed to get several inches over the weekend and early next week. Oh joy.

Our snow was light and fluffy, thank goodness. The last round was heavy, heavy, heavy.

I'm hoping to have pictures like Keitha's next winter...when my house has bushes, shrubs and trees. :D

One year it snowed when the kids were getting ready to go back after Christmas break. It was gorgeous and I hadn't put away the outside lights yet. Chris and I went outside and turned them on "because that's how Christmas lights are supposed to look." One of my favorite memories. And yes, it's scrapped!

We had our dusting of snow overnight, maybe more tonight.

We took down Christmas today and I went through other boxes of stuff that wasn't displayed. Someone had been in the boxes and made a mess so some of my snowmen are no more! But this little terry cloth guy said he was washable. He was quite happy lounging in the warm soapy water. Too bad the cat didn't jump up on the sink to get a drink and discover him where her water bowl should be.

Mother Nature put us on the guest list and then forgot to mail the invitation. Nothing at all here.

We got about an inch of snow on New Year's Eve while we were doing the last minute wedding preparations. Since Will lives in Tucson and never sees snow, he scraped up as much as he could and built a little snowman on top of the frozen kiddie pool that sits out on my in-laws deck (for the dogs to drink out of). The next day when it warmed up enough for the ice to melt a little, the snowman did this. I thought it was so cool that it retained it's form under the water and then froze again.

Got about 2" overnight. It's snowing very fine flakes for the past hour and still coming down. Slowly accumulating.

Just a snow/rain mixture right now.... nothing sticking... but it's darn cold with lots of wind... so I'm staying indoors.

Joel's home. They ended up shoveling at the basketball venue. He came home so angry. He unloaded on his supervisor. Risking injury for athletics. B.S. :angry42:

Some of you may find this picture lovely. All it means to me is I have to drive to work in this crap. And our forecast through Wednesday is more snow mixed with freezing rain. I'm not looking forward to this week at all. And I'm done with the pretty winter.

Oh my goodness Monica. I read your FB post and wished I could see it. Please be safe.

This is the road behind our house. Last year, a fire truck went in the ditch during a snow storm. Over the years, we've seen some pretty spectacular wrecks here. The ice is so smooth you could easily skate on it. Getting to work tomorrow is going to be harrowing. Co-worker has already called out. She called out everyday last week as well. Sorta hope she 's burning up sick leave and preparing to quit. But I digress...

Have you seen the news clips of kids in Raleigh playing ice hockey on the streets? Yep, you CAN ice skate on them.
