Amazing what you can find when cleaning your house. I have a booklet titled "Records of Emigrants from England and Scotland to North Carolina 1774-1775".
Let me know if you feel like I might find anything helpful for you.

Let me check my charts to see if I have anyone in that time frame. I think most of mine were here by then.

Check to see if you have anyone with the surname Brickey. That's my grey area.

Sorry Pam. No Brickeys recorded on these ships.

There's an entry dated 12/12/1774 regarding a Brigantine Carolina Packet sailing from Greenock to Cape Fair (Fear?) in NC. Because of a "contrary wind" the ship docked at Lochindale in Isla and then took on 62 passengers (30 men, 15 women, and 17 children) from Island of Isla and Island of Mull (Argyle County). "By the best accounts we could get, only 5 of these passengers were people of any consequence the rest were of a lower class, servants of these gentlemen or labourers who could pay for their passage."

Accounts like these, I'm sure, drive genealogists batty.

It was interesting they didn't list any names. Even after that statement.
