Hello from Dubai!

Post by pamcook »

Lunch at a brand new restaurant at Festival City. Cara's sister in law is Japanese. Her friend owns this restaurant. Such delicious food in a gorgeous location (in Dubai Creek).
My grandchildren and their cousin.

Sure wish I could teleport home. Slept with both Zain & Mia last night so should be sufficiently exhausted by take off at 2:50 a.m. Sure hope most holiday travelers are at their intended destinations and there's an empty seat next to me. The flight here took me from Orlando, up the east coast, below Greenland, across the U.K., then across Europe and to the UAE. No idea what the return flight path is. All I know is that it's 2.5 hours longer. Maybe because of fighting the jet stream?
No problem with jet lag for some reason. Always a good thing.

Be safe! The visit was too short! Did you pack Mia and Zain in extra luggage! That is such a long way to have your grandchildren! Is your next trip April?

We leave the 28th for Arizona. Only a couple weeks and then when renter moves out we will go back in March for a couple months. Can't wait to see Jak and famiky!

Wow Pam...I didn't realize this was going to be such a short trip! Hope you can get some sleep on the plane. That must have been hard for the children to say goodbye to you and vice versa. You're a wonderful grandma to go visit them there. Safe travels.

Yes, you will be fighting the jet stream but that is a big time difference. At least heading West, the jet lag is easier when you get home. Your time there has gone so quickly.

Yes, way too short! I would bring them with me in a heart beat. Lots of tears. Came to the airport early so Riz could get home. They bought a new home a couple of months ago and are remodeling it to suit them better (less Arabic and more contemporary). He spends every spare minute there. Don't know how he does all he does.
2 mile walk from Emirates check in to my gate. 2 miles. Will wish I could do a bit of waking about half way into this flight.
I do plan to return to hep with the baby. He's due earlier than we thought. Still early to make those plans.
