Chillin' at the airport

Post by pamcook »

Hectic day yesterday. Paid bills, grocery run, last minute gift ordering, fed ex run (always a drama), trip to Target for headphones (yay!), watched Joel repack my suitcases (I swear he could make a living at it), get a phone call from the FRAUD division of our credit union. My card number was hacked - card no longer valid. Yeah. Thank goodness Joel has cash because they're refusing to FedEx my new card to Dubai.
Now I'm at the airport waiting to start my 18 hours in a plane. I have my stamps & watercolors and an interesting book. A bottle of ambien is stashed away just in case.
Will check in when I can!

Good thing you found out about the card before you left!

I'd like to watch Joel pack and see how he does it. I've started doing the method where you lay the clothes out extending beyond the sides of the suitcase, overlapping them and then flip them all over each other. It's hard to describe but seems to use the space more efficiently. It's only good if you can unpack when you get to your destination. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDn9l20NlWw

Sitting and waiting you could do quick little sketches to amuse yourself.

Robin lands at LAX in about 30 minutes. Quick trip-13 hours and 19 minutes!

Hope you have the tail wind, Pam.

Have a wonderful trip!
And much excitement at Marianne's house too with Robin's arrival!

what is it with the hacking? Saturday we got a call like that for Mark and now he's complaining that he can't do his Christmas shopping!

Pam and Marianne, enjoy seeing your loved
ones, it's great that we can get to see our families at
special times.

Nancy, a hacked card sounds like a good excuse
to not shop, maybe I'll use it next year. :)

Thanks, everyone! We are hoping for a quiet relaxing time at home. No incentive to go out in this wind and cold. Baking might be a good thing to do though.
