Great idea Farley. The papers are really pretty although that is an odd size.

Your new picture is so cute!

Thank you regarding my photo. Bob took this while I was enjoying my first latte on my new espresso machine.

Ok. Here's 2 cards made from those 4X8 SSS scraps. The first card I used the stamps that came with the kit. I really need to play with them more. This was one of my favorite kits in spite of the weird paper size.

This second card is made from the file cabinet. I cut two of the drawer fronts to apply on top for a 3-D effect. I amused myself by making a scrap card showing scraps spilling out of the drawers. Leaving off a sentiment on this one.

Farley...that file cabinet card is a hoot. Great job on using the odd sized papers.

They're both very nice cards but I have to agree, that file cabinet - what a great idea!

Oh my goodness - I too adore that file cabinet card! So clever! But the other one is great too. You really have some good sentiments that coordinate with your images. I think if I stamped a book on a card, I'd be done because I'd have no idea what to use for a greeting.

:hijack:
Also, I'm finding myself in need of a new coffee maker myself. My Keurig (my 3rd) has finally kicked the bucket. Having owned several, I know all of the "tricks" and little cleaning tips that might get it working for another week or two each time, but the short cups and long brewing time and constant "descale" messages are a sign that it's done. My issue is that I've still got a substantial hoard of k-cups. Mostly tea and decaf coffee - the night time beverages. But I think I'd be an idiot if I invested in another Keurig, knowing full well that they only last 2 years, tops. So I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but I need to make up my mind quick. Those daily Starbucks stops drain the bank account quick!

Both are great Farley, but that file drawer is a hoot!

Julie, the SSS card kits come with a stamp set so it's always nicely coordinated with stamps/sentiments/papers!

Very clever, Farley, love the scraps coming out the drawers. That would never happen to any of us, would it?

File drawer is truly a hoot, Farley.

Did the Butterfly give up the ghost???

I know this card probably doesn't fulfill the spirit of this challenge (because I'm assuming you want us to dig deep for our scraps) but I did use scraps left around on my table after making a few cards from the new Club Scrap Lagoon kit. I only have the digi version so far so I printed out some papers to use for cards. I adhered them to a base paper and then ran through an embossing folder. This one also combines some stamps and dies from The Stamps of Life. I love those little fishies.

Jen scraps are scraps. This is an adorable card! Very cute fish.

And yes, sadly the Butterfly is no more. After 11 years of faithful daily deliveries of excellent espressos a very loud explosive hiss and then a smokey tendril was her last gasp. But she has been replaced with "Ruby".
