After a few battles, I'm waving the white flag to my boss. I'm sick of fighting with her. I won't be able to make it this year. Obviously, I had to focus my energy on getting time to come here to my daughter's. It's a long story but I'm too close to retiring to put myself into an antagonistic position with her. It's bad enough as is.

Debbie & Mike will get the check in/out taken care of.

Thinking about the towel rack issue - maybe take some Command Hooks? They're reasonably price and easy to put up & take down. Then again, Debbie might be able to ask? I'll be back in the US on Wednesday evening and back to work on Thursday. If she doesn't post by then, I'll give the realty office a call.

I'm so sorry, Pam...it just won't be the same without you.

I'm sure it will be extremely difficult leaving your beautiful family; safe travels.

Well try to Skype with you at some point!!!

Mike is going to make sure there's a towel rack or two in there. And we'll take care of check-in, etc.

We're going to miss you though. Stupid mean boss of yours.

She offered to let me take both - if I cut the trip to my daughter's to just one week. As if.

I expect to see tons of photos every day.

Who has packed already? All my supplies are piled onto a bed and on my dining room table. I want to make some page kits but I'm afraid there will be an avalanche if I start digging through. On my list today is "get prints ordered". I wonder if my tote is still packed from last year? I wonder if my swim suit still fits?

What is the one thing you wish you had brought (or brought more of) last year? For me, it was white cardstock. I must have "borrowed" 50 sheets from Cheryl last year. I have a pack of it on my kitchen island (starting my stack of "stuff to bring" right there).

Is there anything I can bring for anyone?

I'm so excited I'll be there for at least a few days that I can hardly concentrate!

Woo hoo, Pam, so glad you can come for a few days!

I have a pile of stuff on the floor! I'm bringing nasty jobs to do like clean, sort, and purge UMs, reglue my falling apart recipe binder, finish a few travel journals and add some photos and remove parts of a quilt that I don't like. Exciting stuff!

I better get some photos printed, too.

Hooray!! So glad you can make it, Pam!!

Marianne... sounds like you're going to have a fun week, too.

We'll figure out the towel rack thing... if nothing else, I have an over-the-door rack that I can part with for a week.

Also - I'm guessing that the housekeeping staff grabbed the extra Keurig and held it in their office in case someone called and said they had left theirs behind. It's not in the house now... there's just the one. If one isn't enough, I can bring our machine from home, as well.
