Re: what's old is new again

Post by nancine »

Using some wood letters that I've been hoarding for a few years - jeez! Add some paper from Club Scrap when Michael Strong designed some for them (circa 2010?) and some wood veneer trees and stars! A layout from our Yellowstone trip, I was determined to get it finished up this month and I did it!

Re: Burlap

Post by nancine »

Not exactly burplap - but some fabric stuff that came in the Club Scrap National Parks kit. It's the big photo mat on the left page. When I saw this kit I had to buy it to do some of my Yellowstone pages, it was too perfect to pass up!

These don't really fit any of the actual camp challenges. But it was a challenge to myself to get this trip scrapped and I'm happy to say I did it! I wanted to get it done before a year had past. Thank goodness for my little travel journal to remind me of things!

A page about Blake. He had surgery on his legs in Jan. from his groin all the way to ankles.
He has such a great personality and likes everyone. He has been fighting for life since birth and especially
after heart surgery, 2 strokes and umpteen surgeries. He is 12 years old now.

A Shimelle sketched adapted (sort of) for 2 pages.
I can't figure out how to crop photos on this new computer so here it is, as is.

I have been doing a lot of different things lately but only 1 scrap page. This photo is of my paternal grandmother as a child. I have it in a pocket page of sorts because there is writing on the back of the photo. It gives their address and her name but is very faint pencil. I will be adding a tag to insert behind the photo so future generations will know who she is. Not the clearest of photos.

The brads are from the Fizz kit. Is that old enough? And I typed the journaling on my old Smith Corona I used during my feeble attempt at college. The paper is from Club Scrap Cantina kit. Stamps from Ali Edwards Roots set from Story Stamp.

Re: Color Trends

Post by pamcook »

Here's one that fits in this thread.
I thought I was finished with WA photos - found another envelope FULL of prints. I took quite a few photos on that trip.
Chris, Mandee & Kenan taken just past the market downtown Seattle.
Papers are from Maggie Holmes Confetti collection and the embellies are mostly from Poolside.

The butterfly is a punch - I consider them die cuts - and the title is a die cut so I'll upload this page here. Used some Maggie Holmes Confetti collection and some of my nautical theme papers.
Mandee & me in front of Mrs. Cooks kitchen shop and my Kenan circling the fountain outside it. Somewhere near Seattle.

Another Cantina layout. I think this is a modification of one of the Lite ALSB's. I used a wood Popsicle stick on the left side so that's why I chose this thread. No Ali Edwards on this one. Thanks for looking.

Oh, and the stencil on the right side was a NBUS stencil from my subscription last year to Stencilgirl. What was I thinking? I collected those, unused, for months, before quitting. Crazy girl.
