King of Clubs-Favorite Holiday

The Deck of Art challenge is where you use old playing cards as a base for altered art. Once card is chosen per week, with a theme, and results are posted here.

Ok, posting that reminder on the List of themes, I thought of this one that we haven't done yet-I don't think.

Your Favorite Holiday on the King of Clubs

So only 3 cards left now.

Marianne,

I'm not understanding the challenge. Are we to actually do something related to our fav holiday on that card from a deck?

April this has been an ongoing challenge. I must admit that I am very far behind in doing mine. If you go to the Deck of Art Challenge you will see that each card has a different theme. We were doing a whole deck. You can for sure join in as there really is no time limit.

April, there are three pages of topics about this under Deck of Art Challenge, but it all started way back at this link here:

For several years, we have been working on this off and on, mostly off recently. There are only 3 cards left to chose from so I am hoping to get all the cards taken with a theme and then we can all work on them whenever.

I can't believe I was the one to suggest this theme. I had a terrible time deciding what to do.
But here it is-Mother's Day because I never thought I would ever have any children. So Mother's Day reminds me of how thankful I am to have had this experience.

The color is weird because the camera picked up the glossy accents on the leaves and flower.

My favorite holiday is coming up so I thought I'd get this one done too! I think this is about 1973, I'm the clown, although that make up looks a little like the Jack Nicholsan's Joker many many years later.

I really like the way you and Petra have used your childhood for these. I love Halloween, too.
