Oh, am I the first to submit to this thread? There's a first, then... :D

Journal reads: "My Dad should have been my prince – I loved him dearly and we had so much fun together when I was little. It was much more interesting going out with him to the “wild places” where my Mum and Nan would only take me to the city’s parks and gardens. He taught me wonderful things, like climbing trees, roller-skating, or the names of all the butterflies and trees and flowers… If only he had been younger – it broke my heart every time somebody asked me if I was having a walk with my Grandad…
Photo: Christmas 1971, having a walk with my Dad"

Ribbon from Tatters; Kaisercraft Basics rhinestones; epoxy sticker from Provocraft Etcetera Jemz stickers and peel-offs from Craft Creations

Wow, Petra - you've really been busy! I didn't comment on all of the cards, but I have absolutely loved seeing all of them. I love the way you're using them autobiographically.

I'm embarrassed to post this, it is so simple. Maybe later when I add the journaling I will put a trasparency and fastener over the photo side.
A photo of DH leftover from another layout. Actually I didn't include it in the photos Pam P. scrapped for me at ReCreate.
On the back of the card is a cutout from the Haberdashery kit that says "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him".

Oh, that's sweet. And no need to be embarrassed - most of mine are simple because they are scrapbook pages more than ATCs - the needlecraft one and the napkin one were the only ones that I got artistic about. But your card really represents your thoughts - DH is your prince big time...! Wonderful. I'm so looking forward to meeting you both!

Oh, dear. I don't know what possessed me to do this. I think I'm slap-happy tonight. And, no, I haven't been drinking. PLEASE don't tell my husband what I've done to him.
