Don't hate me for this card, Christy!

Lately DH and I have been looking at time differently so I had been thinking about this before Christy posted her theme. Now that DH has retired, time is so much less important to us. Somedays we don't know what day it is but the days seem longer. We get up when we feel like and go to bed when we feel like it. It's complete freedom. But it's also kind of scary the way the days flow by-we feel like we have all the time in the world.

While I was thinking about all this and wanting a quote for my card, I got an email from DD's best friend. In response to a question I had and because her schedule is so messed at U of MD because of all the snow cancellations, she said, "I don't speak time anymore". I thought that was the perfect quote for my card.

Yes, Paula, two folders! It was a soda can that I had run through with the small damask type pattern ages ago. For this I wanted the square in a square design to contrast with the circles and to write the words in the center squares so I thought I would give it a try in hopes some of the original pattern remained. I was happy with the way it turned out. then alcohol inked, of course.

Thanks for all the comments, friends!

Ahha, I see them both now :happy94: I just love the way it turned out, never would have thought of that---you really do create interesting backgounds and techniques!
