Deck of Art: 4 of hearts Patriotic-due July 22

The Deck of Art challenge is where you use old playing cards as a base for altered art. Once card is chosen per week, with a theme, and results are posted here.

Sparklers and Roman candles in the snow at Christmas. I guess my parents figured we couldn't set anything on fire in the snow. :lol:

I really like the little folder added to it. Why can't you have fireworks on the 4th?

since I've lived in Arizona the last 12 years fireworks have been illegal (and you can understand that since it's well into the 100's by the 4th there). Then a couple of years ago they made them legal :wtf: , but I would never even think of using them in Arizona in the summer, that's just crazy. Here in Oregon they are legal, but I live in a coastal forest and our particular development doesn't allow them (again, with the big trees, understandable)

I thought it might be the heat in AZ. I've lived all my life on the East Coast near large bodies of water which they always shoot the fireworks over. It's hard to believe there are vast areas of the country without that luxury.
