Since we're all very busy these days, I thought I would keep this simple.

Your theme this week is "Home" and should include this quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes ---- "Home...where your feet may leave....But not your heart".

Here's mine. This is my grandmother's childhood home in Chicago. It's hard to tell from the scan, but I used two identical photos, cut one smaller and popped dotted it on top of the larger one.

Wonderful Sue! Great theme too. I think I have that key and lock set too. Now, to see if I brought it along on vacation.

Unfortunately, I have never felt like this about my home! This may have been due to the fact that our family was split apart when my parents separated. Mother and I then lived with my gran but I considered both our place and my father’s my home. Maybe because of that neither was quite “it”. It may also have to do with the fact that we lived on an estate, which was neither nice nor pretty – you can see it in the background of the photo. Photo 1968"

The red crest at the top used to be a little pendant on a bracelet - I had lots of different crests on there from places we visited but this is my hometown's, so I kept it. Thought it fitted on here nicely.

Home has always been my favorite place. Even more so in the last 5 1/2 years that I have been away so much with the responsibility of my Mom. I am very happy to at last be home again. This was a dull photo of our house in a light snow. I posterized it in Photoshop which seems to have made it even duller looking here.

Petra--great card. It's interesting that "home" may not necessarily be the place we grew up. The crest is a nice accent


Marianne beautiful work as always. I like the faded look of your card. kind of reminded me of the idea that no matter how faded something is it can still have very special meaning.
