Nancy - Very cool! I wish I'd saved my mom's old patterns, especially the Barbie clothes.

I love it Nancy. You must have been digging to find that old (pardon me--vintage) stuff.

Lovely cards, everyone - I esp. love those that have Vintage or Heritage flavors! I'm finally getting some time to make art and here is my Purple, Red and Black card!
Image

I used the TJ technique of using VersaMark & clear EP over print, then inked the piece and overstamped with Archival ('cause I can't find my black Staz-On).
Just noticed - the white around the jewel is glue and it will dry clear! ;)

My take on the colours...
The clip journal reads: "I have always loved the colour red, still have lots of red things to wear, and the one garment I vividly remember from my childhood was this favourite folk style skirt in bright red. You can tell that I loved it from the amount of photos in which it appears, and I must have got my Nan to alter it several times to “grow with me”. The quote on this card is very appropriate, too, as feeding the animals in the wildlife park was something I always looked forward to. We would go there once or twice a year…"
