A Deck of Art....2 of hearts-childhood-3/18

The Deck of Art challenge is where you use old playing cards as a base for altered art. Once card is chosen per week, with a theme, and results are posted here.

Cheryl & Deb great job.

I love seeing how many people are using family photos in a way other than on a scrapbook page.

Okay, I will play. Can you put me down on the list, Ruth Ann? I might have to play catch up on some weeks, as work usually gets in the way. Hope that doesn't create a problem. Now I just need to find a deck of cards,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hummmmmmmm

Paula, no stress....remember, this is YOUR deck in the end...if you get behind, just post to appropriate card thread when you're done.

Late again, and again better in person. The words are silver and wont scan--"teach them to fly!" Picture is one of my favorites--my youngest at 18 months being thrown in the air by dad...

Here's one I did but will mail away. Maryjane's Farm is a new find for me. Some of us mail little art pieces to each other.
Anyway, it's mostly collage, some distress inks and stuff...

I'm glad you're catching up, liked the pressed violet one, too. So, how do you make violet jelly?
PS, I saw one violet blooming here in NJ today.

I'm finally catching up... this is a photo of Yogi and Boo Boo - "lets go get some pick-a-nic baskets" I mean, my sister and I! I was Yogi! The girl images behind the fragment are from an old stamp.

So this is my "starter card" and the journal explain what I'm intending to do...
The clip journal reads:"This is a Deck of Art, completed as part of a group challenge. The first topic has inspired me to take part in this, making it an unusual mini scrapbook to explore my childhood of which I cannot easily remember much. It is a mystical time of Christmas trees and blown-out Easter eggs, of cinnamon rolls and pea soup with bacon, of piano music and bows in my hair, of carnivals and Backfischfest…but let’s see what else a bit of prompted thought might discover…"
