I don't have my inks with me to try, but suspect that you'll get better results if you stick to just the regular or Oxide inks in a single layer - although once one layer is dry you can go in with another layer and the other type of ink if you want.

I tried a few things yesterday on some printed tags I wanted to add some color to. They were light grey to begin with. I did the Oxide inks first then added regular Distress after letting them dry.

Those are gorgeous Marianne!

Here's what I've been messing with. I did the ink pads on a craft matte spritzed with water and heat set them after each swipe. Two were turned into cards on the topic "new kit old dies".

Thanks, the tags were printed with those images. No idea where I got them but they needed some color.
