2nd attempt at fimo jewelry

Post by Ruth Ann Landry »

These were double layered again with the back layer slightly larger to create a rim. Woman's face stamped on in adirondack terra cotta, fleur de lys and text stamped in stazon black...I think I'm liking this. Now I need some nice silk cords to hang them on.

Really beautiful Ruth Ann. Ball chains would look good with them too, leather cords. Yummy!

I send it through the pasta machine over and over to condition it , then lay a template on top for the shape, then cut around it. The white is silvery shiny and is also fimo...I send a second color through the machine and lay the first cut out on top of it and cut slightly larger. If you don't mind getting the fimo dirty, it's easier to stamp a couple images and play around and then lay template on top of stamped images for best arrangement, then cut it out..You can make a template by simply cutting out a shaped hole in an index card or something so you can see the stamping on the fimo.

ahhhh, I guess I'm going to have to open that pasta machine box I've had on the shelf over a year...I see pendants in it's future...

It's amazingly simple when you have the pasta machine to do all the work!!!
