Art on a Limb Rings

Post by mpizzazz »

Here is a photo of some of the rings we did at Art on a Limb last weekend. We embossed small pieces of metal and then cut them to fit the ring shapes, bezels?? I don't know anything about making rings.
Some people glued small items on top of the metal like buttons, watch parts, sequins, etc.
Then Cheryl Darrow mixed up ICE resin and poured it over them. Then they cured for 24 hours.
Mine is the top black and white one on the end. I don't know if Ruth Ann and Dani's are there or not. Maybe she can post them if they aren't.

Lovely! I think making one of those would almost get me wearing rings again.

No, not at all. The hardest part was trimming down the piece of metal to fit exactly in the ring. Cheryl did the tricky part of mixing the resin just right so it hardened clear.

I remember watching this video on their website. They are very cool! I wasn't so sure they could turn out so well in real life - those are just beautiful! Great gift idea for those teenagers in our lives...
