Rachelle's Creative Chemistry 103 Tags

Post by azemigh »

Today was day 1 of the new CC 103 class. I watched all of the videos and got to 2 of the techniques.

First: I did 2 tags using the Distress Off-Set Stamping technique.

Second: I tried the Micro Glaze Resist technique. I need to practice that one a little more as I've never used that product before.

Interesting techniques and nice cards, Rachelle. You're making me wonder if I own his 3rd book; I'm embarrassed to admit I probably do - and also probably haven't cracked it open.

Cool tags, Rachelle! I did the first one after making a custom inkpad, but only put the photo up on Instagram last night.

Even though I had a ton of interference trying to get to my studio today, I did get the first two techniques done today. Really fun playing with paint today.

First is called Distress Paint Lifting. See if you can guess the stencil with the words and cents.

Second is called Distress Paint Resist.

I really like both of these techniques and will definitely use these for backgrounds.

Also got some new wildflower stencils for my birthday and played with those today too!

Thank you all! One of the things that I really like about all 3 of these classes is the in depth chemistry lesson of how all these mediums work together, with water, whatever. And, not everything he does works out like he thought it would, so it's like giving you permission to use all this stuff in different ways and see what happens. Sometimes I need that kick out of my rut.

And, someone's gotta get those bonus points for guessing the stencil with the different "cents" on it. It's CS, it's older and I had never used it before.
