Mixed Media Piece
Mixed Media Piece
We really need a subtopic/file for mixed media. Can you add one, Debi?
This is what I've been working on since yesterday afternoon - a 12 x 12 canvas. Finished it and called it good. It's really the first thing I've done in a very long time that I like, so be kind. Sorry about the photo quality.

Re: Mixed Media Piece
I think it looks great Pam! I love the colors you have on it, those birds are a great touch.
I keep pulling out a book that I did a few pages in a long time ago and think about adding to it but that is as far as I have gone.

You haven't lost your touch - that is just beautiful and my favorite color combination. Should I clear a spot for it on my wall?

Looks great, Pam. Satisfying to end up with a piece you really like, isn't it?
Your comment about a Mixed Media sub-forum echoes what I've been thinking lately about Art Journaling; Mixed Media is a good spot for that, also.

It's beautiful, Pam! Love the birds and colors.
Re: Mixed Media Piece
I'll work on adding some topics... Art Journal and Mixed Media sound like good places to start. I should have played with this stuff a bit this weekend... but I stayed on the couch with my feet up (and under a blanket) for most of the weekend.
Love your mixed media piece, Pam.... great job!!

Thank you all! It's supposed to be tarnished copper and pitted steel. Everything is metallic except for the blue/green tarnish, but the copper peeks through it in spots. This is for a photographer friend in RI who I met playing an online game. She posted an art challenge on FB which I also posted. I have 4 other pieces to make for the others who signed up for the challenge, and I have no clue at this point what to do for them. This one was easy - it's a representative portrait of our gaming friends.

That's wonderful that you can combine two interests from two groups into one.pbp908 wrote:Thank you all! It's supposed to be tarnished copper and pitted steel.
