Rachelle's Wedding Crafts

Post by azemigh »

As you all know oldest son Paul is getting married in January and I volunteered myself for paper crafting and flower crafting. I've started on the brooch bouquet and here's what I have so far. It needs some more roses and some more brooches, and I'm planning to add pinecones and maybe some berries. Going to let the bride see it at this stage and see if I'm going in the right direction. First pic is the base with just flowers and the second has some greenery and a few brooches added. The spot in the upper right with all the greenery is where I'm thinking more roses. Right now there are 2 peonies, 3 hydrangeas and several roses and rosebuds throughout.

Thank you all. No real flowers here, but that rose does look quite realistic, the buds that were with it are very real looking as well.

Those are amazing. If you hadn't said they were all created out of paper you would have fooled me.
I am quite envious of those who can make something so realistic.

Absolutely beautiful.
And I really like it when you stated adding the greens as well.

Oh, they're not paper, they're all purchased silk flowers. I don't think I could make realistic paper ones

I'm in full wedding mode at the moment. I'm back on the invitations as the other person on them flaked out and never returned their emails. I tried my best to duplicate what they wanted and now have about 35 more to make.

Oh Rachelle!!!! The invitations are gorgeous, truly gorgeous. And really, you making them rather than the person who flaked on you makes them all the more special.

Love the flowers and the boutonnières with the berries and pinecone are fabulous. Beautifully done.

Thanks everyone! I forgot to mention that they will all get a small sprig of real cedar on the day of, so they'll have a nice fragrance. And the little pinecones came from a tree just outside Paul's apartment. They were just too cute to pass up.
