Just got home so I'll start again in a day or so

So.... (yes, I'm shirking work) .... just looked through Ali's list of 25 ideas.... and one of them is the grocery list... what a cool idea! And... trust me, it's of interest to people years from now... I have a spiral bound notebook that my grandfather used to keep track of his expenses... I think weekly... it was pretty darn cool to read that he paid 3 cents or some tiny amount for a new pocket comb... and all the other things and their prices... so I'm thinking to even include the grocery store receipt with the list... or just the receipt .... fun new idea - maybe I'll make a list of them and tuck them away so I don't forget to add them next year (oh geezzz... I'm committing, aren't I?)

It sounds like you are ready to start right now, Debi. Receipts fade quickly so make a copy of it to include for posterity!
I'll get back to mine sometime especially since we had such an interesting last week of JYC. But I have a quilt block deadline soon and it's driving me crazy.

Interesting you mentioned "Old Christmas". I read a little narrative about it and a couple of traditions from back in the hollers in eastern KY.

The right page on Day 30 is the packaging from Australia Post with our gifts from Robin. I also used a lot of the stamped envelopes from all of your Christmas cards throughout the journal.

Thanks, Farley. The challenge officially ends on the 12th day of Christmas, Day 37 of the Prompts, Jan. 6 but people stop whenever they want.
