Latest work....

Post by ChristyB »

This past week I did up four 8x8" textile collages.
Using lots of scraps of fabric, paper, embellishments, metal etc.

Those are simply wonderful!
Are they "found relatives" or honestly your relatives in the photos?

Just amazing Christy! Gorgeous fabric scraps. I am really drawn to the bottom right with the reds and black. It looks like you wove the fabric.

They came from a Tim Holtz deck of cards that I stumbled upon at Joann's. Called Found Relatives and continues 24 different vintage images relocating photos.

I did weave a dryer sheet that I painted. After it dried I cut it into strips, wove it then added as a design element.

Okay, that really blows me away that those gorgeous red "fabrics" are dryer sheets. Fantastic.

Amazing! Only a really true artist would think of using dryer sheets.

I am not one!
