Flowersoft? When Did I Buy That?
Flowersoft? When Did I Buy That?
So, after my Vintage Velma marathon I thought I'd tidy my studio up a bit and came across these two sets of cut out card fronts that you glue Flowersoft onto to make them 3 dimensional. I actually had 6 pots of different Flowersoft colors sitting in a drawer never having been opened. Well, I opened them and put together one of each of the cards. They're actually quite pretty and very easy to do. And I used something that's probably been sitting in a drawer for over 5 years. The first set was kind of country French. There are 8 cards in the kit, 2 of each style.

I never did know what to do with it and mine is long gone but gluing it over a picture certainly give it more impact. You could sell those and the unsuspecting public would never know they are last decades products.

Beautiful cards Rachelle. This is one product that I didn’t go for amazingly.

Very pretty cards! I never bought any of that stuff, but I'm sure if I were more of a card maker I would have. At least with the powdery types of supplies, they can sit in a drawer and still be usable 5 years later. I probably have drawers with supplies from the last CENTURY. I know I still have the very first pot of embossing powder I ever purchased. And I'm really sure that's from the 90s.

I never jumped on the FlowerSoft bandwagon either, but your cards are lovely Rachelle.
I, too, have the first jar of embossing powder I ever bought. I remember walking into this cramped, dusty rubber stamp store for the first time and buying a variegated inkpad, some clear embossing powder - and of all things a Bart Simpson rubber stamp, LOL. That must've been in the early 90's and I didn't even watch The Simpsons. The rubber stamp is long gone as is the store; it changed hands and morphed into one of the best stamping/scrapbooking stores in Toronto before it's eventual demise. That first purchase pre-dated my entry into scrapping by at least a decade. Thanks Julie, for that stroll down memory lane.

So do I, Julie! And I found some old things from scrapbook.com before they became what they are now. Not to mention the gingham checked CM paper I still have.
