Stair step card

Stair step card

Post by ScrappinJen »

So I used my NBUS die purchased in Phoenix along with my PTI cactus stamps to create this card. A bit of a engineering fiasco (how does one make these things stand up?) but I'm happy with the result. Cacti cuts were made on Silhouette. Paper is from Amy Tan's Yes, Please pad.

L. O. V. E. it!!! OMG, this is really a fabulous card and using your cacti goodies is so perfect for this. Really, really cool card.

So you're having trouble with it actually standing? That surprises me.

That turned out great, I would think they should stand up well since that's what they are designed for!
Did the added cacti make it too heavy? Seems well centered.

That is really cute! Maybe it just needs a stronger crease by the bone folder at the top.
what does NBUS mean? I'm guessing "never been used ____" but what's the final word?

Jen - great card - would love to know where you purchased this die - I need to find one for some of the cards I make for here in our park.
Thanks

Diana, if you mean the cacti, I cut those shapes on the Silhouette using Papertrey stamps. BUT Hero Arts has a cool set I am itching to buy called CL838 Stamp your Own Cactus that MAY have a matching die. I do know Hero has cacti dies. One is 3D and very cool.

Love the card! Cacti are fun. :)

Lawn Fawn also has a cacti stamp set and matching dies.

Yes, my sis just bought this set in Phoenix. I had just bought my PTI set the week before. I actually like the Hero set first, the Lawn Fawn set second and mine third. But oh well. How many cacti do I need?

Another step up card from The Stamps of Life. My stepdaughter is a true cat lady. Has three black ones and one Himalayan mix. All rescues. So I used Stephanie's cat2stamp set to make her upcoming birthday card. Simple but cute.
As I explained to hubby, I have no talent for coloring to get the true representation of her cats. So solid cardstock will have to suffice.
