I love this bar
I love this bar
I'm a huge fan of the desert southwest landscape, but you can't beat this stretch of Route 66 through Missouri for picturesque. This tiny hamlet got it's name from 'the devil of an elbow' in the adjacent Big Piney River, which was notorious for causing log jams with its sharp curves. The date on this piece of Harley-Davidson paper is 2004; I really did have a layout in mind when I bought it, but a page about this biker bar seemed a good fit. I used one half of a Scrapbook Generation sketch designed for use with Simple Stories papers - and just happened to have a collection that coordinated well with my HD paper. The 'Be Free' flair is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that in the years prior to our visit female patrons used to leave their bras at the bar which subsequently covered the ceiling. As you can see from the photos, the bras had been replaced by dollar bills by the time we visited. After taking this photo I moved my enamel dots so they now frame the title/journaling block, but couldn't be bothered taking another one.

This is great, Keitha. The perfect paper for a biker's bar!
