UAE 12/2016

Post by pamcook »

I have so many photos!!!!
Trying to really choose only the better ones. I think my goal for 2018 is to take fewer/better pictures. These aren't so dark IRL.

That's a really cool paper on the right side, Pam, what is it? It looks like it has holes in it with light shining through it.

What Marianne said! I'm guessing that is gold foil on the paper? What a perfect and appropriate paper pattern for your photos.

It's from the Recollections collection called Bohemia. Great colts & designs.

16 hours from DXB to MCO and was I ever exhausted. I couldn't believe how bad I looked. I just wanted to crawl under a rock.

Oh, that's fun/strange to see all the snowy/wintery decor in a warm place. Love the polar bears!

It reminds me of my first Christmas in Australia when it was really summer/hot and listening to the carol with "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" while going up an escalator in a Brisbane department store. It was just not the same!

It's not the same, is it? Even when we lived in San Diego the weather was so mild, it just didn't feel like Christmas.

What a wonderful gingerbread house, Pam! They really do take a lot of effort to get them to stand up.

I was home all day, cleaning, washing, packing, etc. and playing with ICAD cards and coloring, packing, cleaning...just not online.

I felt like I cooked all day yesterday. Made a pot of baked beans which took so many steps! They're delicious but I think they need to cook a bit more so they're back in the crock pot for a couple of hours.
I made a pitcher of sangria (chilling in the fridge) and a blueberry topping for a lemon cake. I rarely have sweets any more so it was worth the extra effort.
:hijack:

Got another page started yersterday. Needs a title & journaling. Another started and for some reason, Indint have the second photo that goes with the story. Thank goodness for Walgreens.
