Layouts from today

Post by jfugina »

So we're iced in here in the St. Louis area. Schools were closed yesterday and many local businesses closed and sent their employees home. According to the news, lots of places stayed closed today as well, or opened late. We never even left the house. So we made stuff! Nicole and Rob made a pillow case for a throw pillow out of Dr. Who fabric, and Rob also worked in the wood shop and made some pens, and I played with paper. Woot!

Here are first layouts I worked on today - getting these done finishes up 2014 for me. I've still got two trip albums to do, but I'm not going to scrap them - just do regular photo albums. This was our trip that came out of us losing our 2013 World Series bet to our Boston cousins.

Next, I did some single photos I had. The first two are from December 2015, and the third is from March of 2016, from my brother's wedding.

Thanks Pam! My fingers are a sticky gluey mess, and there are little bits of paper all over the place from the circuit cuts I made. I'm quite happy about it. :-)

So yeah, in October of 2013 our St. Louis Cardinals were playing against the Red Sox, and Rob's Boston cousins are big fans. We all agreed that losing fans would have to travel to the winning city the next summer, and root for the series winners. We thought it was a good bet either way, because we'd get to visit with family either way. It would have been nice for the Cardinals to have won, but it had been a while since we'd been to Boston, and since the prior trips were for weddings, this was the first time my kids actually got to experience the city.

Sorry to hear about the ice Julie...not so great. But on the other hand, you all got to be creative.

 Julie. Great layouts.

I think the world series bet was a win win for all.

That's a great story about the bet on the World Series. Hope it's on one of the layouts.
You are always so productive when you scrap, wish I could work that fast.

Great pages! Love your use of the map paper.
You've motivated me to get up out of this chair to get some pages done.

Thanks everyone! The patterned papers on the first two Boston layouts are from Basic Grey's Wander collection. When I saw that collection, I bought the whole pack. Figured it would be well used given how much we love to travel.
