Spinner Thingy at Tuesday Morning

Post by nchoney »

So.... I popped into my Tuesday Morning on the way home last night to see if they had put out today's Special item... the Craft Spinner from Tim Holtz or Adirondack or whoever....

Image

it was going on sale today for $4.99 rather than $20 .... so (my frequent buyer status... LOL) they let me get one last night... but they had only gotten 3 in for the sale... so I zipped down there at lunchtime today and lo-and-behold the other 2 were still there!!! So.... for $15 I now have a triple tier spinning rack for my blending tools and whatever else I want to fit in there!! Yay!!!

I thought so, too!! I had asked Santa to bring me some for Christmas, but that one didn't happen (I got tons of other good stuff, though) so I've been watching the sales, etc. Didn't think I'd be able to snag one of these, let alone all 3 that my store got in. Yay!!

Trying to set up a place for everything, etc. :-)

They're nice for holding your roller stamps as well (assuming you have some...).

Another good idea, Pam!!

I need to hit the hardware store tomorrow to figure out a way to connect the layers. The posts don't connect like an expansion layer would do, but I can make it work, I'm sure!!

WTG Debi! I seem to recall a video on Tim's blog years ago when he first brought these out on how to connect them. You might check there our just google/youtube it.

I have three of the basic spinners.... and I'm sure the expansion unit has a different piece of hardware in the middle... so I just need to buy a little connector.

I sure miss my neighborhood TM. Several times a week I pass by one in Elk Grove that is a huge store with a big crafting aisle but I'm always at the wrong end of my schedule. Maybe today I'll make some time...as if I need anything.

Take them along with you to the hardware store. Surely they can help you come up with something.

I saw that someone was putting her spray inks on it. I didn't realize they'd fit.

Thanks... I just had to buy a couple of these thingies to connect the rods that the spinner parts rest on... the adapter unit costs over $20 ... so I was more than willing to pay just $3+ and the $4.99 to make my additional tiers. The whole 3-tiered unit cost around $21 ... yay!!

The threaded pieces don't screw in all the way... but they're snug and it all works. And nothing in my house is perfect, anyway... why start setting the bar higher, now? LOL
