I upgraded my phone. When I opened my Snapfish app - NO PHOTOS. Long story short - was told it’s a technical glitch they’re aware of and I should have saved them before turning in my phone. I THOUGHT THEY WERE SAVED. I completely freaked out until I considered they might be on the Cloud. Sure enough - thank goodness. Need to buy another external drive and get them saved.

Whew! So many things to think of when upgrading. I wonder if Persnickety Prints is the same?

And this is why I'm not even tempted to use the phone as a camera. (Not that I can with my flip phone. )

Back up your photos!! I have mine on whatever I took them with and on the computer I downloaded them to AND on two separate external drives. :-)

After Steve did an upgrade once where I lost a year & half of Ry's baby pictures I have them backed up triple time.

Thinking you have lost all your pictures is something to nearly cause major panic

I'm with Pam P and seldom use the phone for photos that I want to keep.

OMG - I would cry (uncontrollably). I download everything from my phone twice a month, on the 15 and the last day into a folder on my harddrive. From there I have an external drive that all my pictures go onto sorted by year and month and then I have a full system backup from Carbonite. I learned the hard way - I will never make that mistake again.

I once paid $1k to have a hard drive restored. I thought my photos were backed up too, but they weren't. Then I started storing them on the network, but then one of the network drives failed and Rob wasn't getting around to re-building the raid array, which is what I needed in order to access them. So I gave up on that too. I do use my phone as my primary camera, and my photos admittedly aren't great. But most exist at Walgreens.com, and all exist on icloud. I think I pay $0.50/month for my icloud storage.
