Mixed Media Origins

Post by pamcook »

Haven't noticed anyone posting sneak peeks of new products yet.
Tattered Angels has a new (I think it's new) collection of mixed media "papers". The designs are printed onto a cloth fiber paper of sorts. They are stunning when painted with any paint/marker medium (media?).
There are so many pretty new collections coming soon. Sitting on my hands though. This is the summer of using products - not shopping (mostly).

Some of our stores are just getting in the CHA winter lines now. Last weekend I picked up a few bits of BoBunny Beach Therapy and Echo Park Summer Party. As for new lines, I don't buy a lot of girl-themed products but probably won't be able to resist some of Steven Duncan's Metropolitan Girl for Bella Blvd. I just love his retro graphics.

Not a lot of crafting for me this summer with my crazy work schedule, but I'll be all stocked up when I have time again.

Next week is my renegade stamp day - so it will be interesting to see what new things are in the store.

TH has been posting his new items. I'm fairly ambivalent about them. That's all I've seen so far, but only because they're in my in box.

What's the website that always posted the new collections? I can't remember it off the top of head. But then, I'm working on another #$^# grant.

It's Scrapbook Update, and I didn't see any list of new products there.

I thought the Crazy Dog stamps were cute because there was an Airedale looking one and the others dogs are cute but I wouldn't use them.

At first glance I think I like them better than the Crazy Birds. As I said to Marianne, dogs often do look goofy, so they lend themselves to these cartoon-like images. I'm more of a cat person, but I didn't care for Crazy Cats at all. They should have been named Psycho Cats IMO.

Keitha that is such a good observation regarding the birds vs the dogs.

The black/white dog on the top left of the coloured cards looks just like my friend's boxer - maybe it's the expression, LOL. Marianne thought sort-of-an-Airedale, but the dog on the top left also looks sort-of-like-Zoe - she's a Wheaten. Yeah, I could have fun with these.

The Airedale/Wheaten is the generic terrier dog. The one on the right looks like a Boston Terrier to me, legs are way too short for a Boxer. Guess they could be lengthened with some creative masking!

I wasn't even looking at the legs; I got caught up in his expression. Now you're making me think of those guys that do cartoon illustrations at fairs, where your head takes up the top 80% of the page and the rest of your body fills the lower 20%.
