Seeking investor or winning lottery ticket
Seeking investor or winning lottery ticket
I promise I would fill the barn with tables for paper crafting and beds for long retreats.
There are many direct flights into Seattle...

To heck with the house, I'd live in the barn!
That would be a great retreat location. Perfect location and there is a direct flight from Billings.

Re: Seeking investor or winning lottery ticket
I'm going to start buying lottery tickets again.

OMGosh! How fabulous and with a view no less. By California standards, that's a bargain! Hope you win the big lottery Pam.

I'll post a thread about it when I win.

can't wait to see you win!
As Farley says that is quite a bargin compared to prices around here.
My cousins are selling their house - they live about 10 miles from me in San Jose. CRAZY amount of money for this little tract home. They are moving to Salem, OR
I'm also thinking it is TOTALLY STAGED... we visited them after Christmas and the interior did not look like this! I knew they were having the floors re-done but this isn't their funiture, LOL

Holy cow! A million bucks for THAT? The interior is nice, but the yard looks like they mowed the weeds, and 1200 sq. ft?
Good thing I was sitting down, how do people afford that? What about young couple starting out? Size wise this would be a good starter home.

With Debbie on that! I know that is an expensive area. Our son lived in San Jose about 10 years ago, loved visiting there.

nice house but it's a little expensive
Re: Seeking investor or winning lottery ticket
Welcome to the Bay Area folks! The weather is terrific, but young people starting out? How do they do it?
Well... If you are a recent college grad and land a job at Google, Facebook etc. your starting pay is $120,000 So I've heard! Other recent grads I know are living with their parents since they can't afford rent. $2500 for a 2 bedroom apartment? A friends son pays $1100 for a studio.
The houses selling on my street are up to $900,00 + (a 2 story just sold for 1.8) - I told Mark that our new neighbors aren't even our peers!
FYI - most people's lawns look pretty bad here due to the drought and water restrictions!

I suppose it's that way in most of California. When we were looking in Az. We almost bought a house. It was brand new, 1895 sq. ft. Open floor plan, gourmet kitchen. Totally beautiful for 200,000. Rod chickened out because he didn't want to live there year round. It had a huge lot and was out of all the traffic in Buckeye, Az. I loved it and was ready to move and get out of this cold weather, he's got Wyoming in his bones.
Re: Seeking investor or winning lottery ticket
Well - most of California!
The more remote or HOT (a la Fresno) the cheaper it is!
I don't think I could handle Arizona in the summer!!

Is California as bad as Australia with the size of the wide angle lens they use in real estate photography? The house looks really nice, Nancy, and very staged.nancine wrote:can't wait to see you win!
