July 2012 Lottery--Stars & Stripes We have a WINNER!!!

Post by azemigh »

Since July is our Independence celebration month, please incorporate Stars or Stripes or Both into your lottery project for this month. We have a bit of an abbreviated month so put your thinking caps on quickly for this one. I'll give you a couple of extra days and pick a winner on my birthday August 3. Let's see some cool Starry or Stripy projects!

Thought I'd make this a little clearer. This does not have to have a 4th of July or red, white and blue theme, just a star somewhere or stripes somewhere or both if you want. Could be a fancy star tag, or a moonlight scene with stars in the sky, or a herringbone card......whatever you want. And remember, you will be sending your project to the winner at the end of the month. Only players can be winners!!!

Here's my entry! I used the CM star punches I bought a long time ago, dug some Concrete Jungle papers for the card, used a patterned DIC matte for the punches stars, played with some TH embossing folders, and topped it all off with some Distress ink for that nice aged look. It ended up being very industrial grunge-looking. It was a fun challenge!! I took a picture of these on my crafting table with the light streaming through the sliding glass doors in this morning, which is why it's a bit weird with shadows.

Industrial grunge..... I love it. I still have some of that paper and will have to give that a try. Great job, Monica.

Here's my entry. I went with stripes.

Bumping this for those who missed it. Also added a sticky to make it easier to find.
