Yesterday's stitching day

Post by katymjo »

This is the little bag I made at our "bring it and stitch it" day. It is 8 inches square, and was fun to make with striped fabric. There is a little pocket on each side.

Helen was stitching a big white snowflake and sparkly beads onto a plain green sweater, (she had to wear a Christmas Jumper somewhere)! Margaret was making a stocking for her new little grandson, the other Margaret was using a big table to mark out the quilting pattern on a whole-cloth quilt, there was lots of rotary-cutting and machine stitching going on all round the hall. Also regular cups of tea and slices of cake, a good day!

What a fun day and your bag is wonderful. Sounds like a lot of ambitious friends were there.

It's so pretty! Where did you get the pattern for it?

Thankyou for your kind comments. Last month at Craft Break a friend showed me how to make the bag. You start with two pieces about 18inches square, then it's just the way you stitch and fold it that gives you the shape. Kathryn.
