2016 PAO Holiday Secret Sister Swap - it's opening day!

Post by nchoney »

I've sent out your Secret Sister info to each of you.... time to start having fun!!!

Debi

First some rules:
1. Signups open until October 9th (That's the Sunday of that weekend)
2. You must follow ALL deadlines once the 1st comes and goes. You may pull out before BUT not after.
3. To sign up fill out the questionnaire and send to me. Do not post answers on the thread.
4. October 10th - I will forward you your secret sister's name and answers. I can act as a go between should you need clarification or need to ask further questions. (feel free to add teasers as you fill your box though)
**I'll be participating, too.... I'll have Mike pull the names but I'll wind up knowing who has me... if that would make you crazy, just IM me and let me know and I'll make sure you get someone else's name**

You can also IM me and let me know if you don't want to accidentally get the same person you had last year or the year before. I forgot to keep those names, so please let me know and we'll re-draw so you can get someone you haven't gifted before.

5. PACKAGES MUST BE MAILED BY DECEMBER 7th (I'm making that a few days sooner so we're not flustered about the mail) keep it to a medium flat rate or smaller box (I'm not attaching monetary value this year, you always ignore that part anyway) <-- I left that line in there, too... cuz I can't follow a rule like that!
6. You must let me know when you mail your package.
7. DO NOT OPEN your package when you get it. Dec 17th (That's a Saturday) we will all open them together.
8. YOU MUST INCLUDE 1 HANDMADE ITEM IN YOUR BOX this can be anything you want to make but try to tailor it to the person you are sending to

I'd be interested in participating, if people don't mind mailing to Canada. I know postage to me will cost more than to anyone in the US, but I'm happy to reimburse my Secret Santa for the difference after the fact, so they don't need to worry about that extra cost. However you will still need to fill out the customs form to go on the package; typically if the package states the value is $50 or less the Post Office won't come after me for duty & taxes - although if they do, that's payable on my end.
Perhaps if those of you who've signed up could IM Debi and let her know if you'd be okay with this or you don't want that extra bother, then she can let me know if it's okay to sign up.

Just had a thought.... if Matthew does come pay us a visit... it'll be a few days (LOL) til I swap our names for the SS Swap.... I figured you'd all figure that out... but wanted to be sure I mentioned it... the storm track models have shifted yet again and it's looking ickier... is ickier a word?? :-)

Debi you are not to worry about a swap of any kind. And yes, ickier is a word.
