The 30 Day Color Challenge

Post by paddlegal »

It's that time again on The Daily Marker! I really enjoyed doing this challenge along with Nancy and Jen this past summer even though I didn't do it every day. But it was a great way to remind me to try to color and create every day if I could find just 5 minutes. So Thursday it begins and I hope you will join me and post your 30 Day Color Challenge projects here also.

Now to get the buried desk cleaned up...again.

I'm looking forward to it! I have a fairly busy October - but I think I can fit in coloring just about every day!
I'll need to take some pre-stamped things down to Reedley when I visit there on the 10th

I have few pre stamped items that I will use for this. My October is looking busy also but we should be able to get 5 minutes a day to color, right?

I have lots of things left to color.... I didn't color everything I had prepared for my trip to Baltimore... so... that leaves me lots more coloring... so maybe I can join in on this one, too...

Hm...if I finish packing tonight, I might have time to stamp some images to take on the plane with me...

One thing I want to revisit are my watercolor pencils. I just don't use them but I look forward to exploring them in October.

I realized that I have almost exclusively work and design stamps. Almost none that you would actually color in. I know I have some tags from past swaps. Will round them up. Maybe I can find some clip art images online to print out to take along with me? I'll have to keep an eye out in our WA excursions for stamps I might use.

So much for bringing something with me today to get started. Completely forgot and left it on my desk at home.

You k now Pam, there's always the current rage of adult coloring books (no, not that kind). Some are pocket size. Great for traveling.

I LOVE today's challenge. Those fall Starbuck's coffee cups are quite wonderful. I think I may be visiting one today while out birding in the rain.

A good place to get images to color or for any artsy endeavour is Dover Books. You can sign up for a weekly sampler and then save the images you want. They can be printed out for collage, coloring, whatever or used digitally.

I had totally forgot about them Marianne, good reminder!

And I too may be having to stop by Starbucks for a coffee today... just for the cup! Right Farley?!

here's my first coloring for the challenge.
I am in love with these crazy birds! The background is some My Mind's Eye paper I think and I made the fence with the SU Hardwood stamp and the octagon punch!

Adorable, Nancy!! Every time you do something with those birds, I think I need to go buy them. I'm sure I will sometime soon!
