Tag colored with Pitt pens.
I think I'm going to give it some white highlights and some glitter.

I think some white highlights and/or glitter will really make this pop! It's pretty the way it is, but I think the additions will add so much more!

I haven't been coloring everyday - such a busy month. But here's what I've been up to so far!

Nancy you are amazing how you squeeze in time to not on,y color but make something wonderful with it! I hope you saw some of my comments on Instagram. That owl is adorable...that's a new one?

Pam your tag is lovely! Love both of your Alisa Burke print versions too.

You've been very busy coloring, Nancy.

The color challenge design looks a lot like the Starbucks cup design.

I won't even try to give this a Day #! But I have been wanting to play with Color Burst and this new Balzer Design stencil from TCW.

Wow, that is great. How do you keep the water from going under the stencil?

Thanks Marianne. That was the one I was trying to explain to you yesterday. Hmmm...I can't remember now if I sprayed it with water first so it stuck to the heavy Multi-Media stock or not, LOL. I did tape the card stock down to keep it from buckling from the water so that helped but I did not tape down the stencil. Once I added the Color Burst I did a lot more spritzing. I just got lucky. It's a 6x6 stencil which for me is easier to work with than the 12x12s.

Thanks, Farley. I can see that wetting the paper first so the stencil would stick and taping it all would really help. I'm usually trying to hold the stencil down with a chopstick or something and spraying or whatever with the other hand and it doesn't work too well.

The coloring book story: My LSS has gone heavily into the coloring book trend. I have not been sold on the idea mainly because I never really enjoyed coloring books that much as a kid. But I have been intrigued by the art...good and bad. So I went on a color book safari on Amazon and elsewhere and found a few books that interested me. I decided to take a plunge with this one. It arrived yesterday. I started coloring this around 7pm and finally went to bed at 1:30. As you can see I'm not done. I just haven't committed to filling in the background yet and maybe adding some other kind of embellishing.

I first (yes I felt terrible) took the book completely apart. You can't possibly color in the book because it won't lay flat and it is printed on both sides and the only thing that won't bleed through would be colored pencils. So I then photo copied this particular one on Copic friendly paper. I let the inkjet ink dry thoroughly for about an hour and then started coloring. No bleeding issues at all with the inkjet ink. Yay! I used my Copics and colored for hours while I watched some shows on Amazon Prime. They are right! It is relaxing. I enjoyed this mainly because I could work on my shading and blending techniques and end up with something decent. Once done I plan to cut it up for card backgrounds.
