Did a little organizing in the Card Challenge forum

Post by nchoney »

Hope I don't make anyone crazy.... and this is about as far as my organizing will go... for now, anyway.

But... I was having a heck of a time finding which challenge was from when... and whose turn it was to post the next Holiday one, etc.

So.... I went through all the Card Making challenge/swap forum threads and organized them mostly by year... and then with a few big topics for these past couple years.

Hopefully, I got the permissions straight so everyone can get into them.... please let me know if there's something you can't get into... and hopefully, they all make sense!!

Thank You, thank you, thank you!
You read my mind-wishing the challenges were all organized together. I was going crazy trying to find them all while doing them.

That's so nice. Sometimes I give up posting because I can't find the challenge thread, this will be much nicer. Thanks Debi.

I think I'm the only one participating in this Shimelle Challenge but that would be nice along with the summer Challenges.

I may get some time to organize the layout challenges, too... I think that's where the Shimelle challenge stuff is... and I'm sure there are others, like layout sketch challenges that could all be in one "folder" ...

Thanks Debi, I always have trouble finding the challenges later as well. Would love all the layout challenges in one place.

Which makes me wonder, how do people 'use' the forum? Sometimes I feel like people don't read new messages that have been added to older threads. Marianne taught me awhile ago to 'View Active Topics' so I'd see what was new; of course that only works if you're checking in frequently.

Another random thought: is it possible to set up a poll on the forum? Nothing specific in mind, I just wondered.

I use the View Active Topics option, too.... unless I need to go searching for something...

When I was working on permissions for those new forums/folders... it mentioned Polls... I don't know how to set one up yet, though...

Thanks Debi!

I generally start with "View your posts" to catch up on things that I've already seen and posted replies to, and then I go to "View unread posts" to get to the rest. Active topics is a good link too, but you could miss those new posts that haven't received any replies yet.

Polls are possible - I think we did one here once a long time ago. But I think that it might be tied to admins and moderators. I can't recall off the top of my head.
