Tic-Tac-Toe June 2017

Post by nancine »

Here's your next challenge, should you chose to except it,
I see the words are a bit small since I had to resize it to work here. (every month I jump through hoops)

Reading across
Top row: watercolor, Summer, enamel dots
Middle row: twine, food item, Father's Day or Grad
bottom row: die cut, stencil, star(s)

You can cry "foul" as I cheated a bit. I used a pre printed stencil pattern background and glitter stars instead of enamel dots (although I might add a few enamel dots when I get home) and I made a 3x4 card for a scrapbook page instead of a greeting card. Okay, I cheated a lot but I'm still posting it here! :tomato:

Added enamel dots & splattered some gold mist. Much better.

I must have missed this post before.

Perfect Father's Day cards, Nancy.

That's a wonderful embellishment, Pam. I like the ice cream cones a lot.

This is a shameless copy of our Hostess' sample card. We both have the same stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shop and I just had to use it for Dad's Day. I used the middle row across and I'm stretching it a bit calling my burlap twine. But I do think it's composed of twine. That's my story anyway and Lucy G. urged me to do it at our scrap day last week. Beer is, of course, food. Beer is made from hops. Hops are plants. Thus, beer is a food item. And it's a Father's Day card for my hubby. Thanks for looking and thanks for the challenge.

What a great card! I'm with you - burlap = twine.

Great card Jen. Love the colors and the "twine". That's very cool stamp set too.

no foul Pam - those cards are delightful!
And it all counts Jennifer... after all one of the guys at work tells me all the time a beer is a sandwich in a bottle (which is what his Grandfather told him!) I bet Roy loved it!
