So, the coffee cup...what created that image? Stamp, stencil or die? I have a large coffee die that would work for this. Love the ginger jar and its glittery floral pattern. Exquisite! Same question as the cup...what device did you use?

Thanks for playing and can't wait to see them in card form.
Those are all Dreamweaver stencils, Farley. The cup looks a lot better now that the paste has dried. I'll try to get my cards done up tonight and posted. I dug out my old Stamping Up chalks to color them. The cup was actually a goof, because I didn't remember the technique until I'd gotten halfway through it, but it works! You could certainly use a die for them if you chose.

The proper way for doing the technique is to tape down a large stencil shape, such as a fan, cup, vase, jug, to the paper using low-tack tape. You want to cover all four edges of the stencil, not just use a small piece on each side. Use chalks to color the edges of the image. Tape a detailed stencil on top, again covering all four edges of the stencil with the tape. Using chalks, color the images. Once done, apply a layer of stencil paste through the detailed stencil, then carefully remove each stencil. If desired, cover the paste with a clear or translucent glitter before setting aside to dry.

That's really all there is to it. The cup one I goofed, putting the detailed stencil down first than the outline, but I liked the way it turned out, so I simply removed the detail one, taped down the cup stencil, and applied paste to the entire large image.

The cup has Rock Candy Distress glitter applied, while the vase has a very pale pink Art Institute glitter.

Terrific Monica! Your cards are wonderful. I did a dreamweaver class many years ago where we did a similar method with paste and chalks.

Oh my goodness those are so pretty!
I fully intended to try this at the beach and forgot.
Believe it or not, I don't have large stencils. Putting on my thinking cap. There have to be something in my stash that I can adapt for this.

Pam you could use any open shape from a die, cookie cutter or just something drawn free hand. Draw a circle around a jar lid for example. Then have fun adding patterns inside it.

Had a bit of fun with watercolors. Yes, a very elementary job but it's done and I used stencils I had forgotten about.

WOW Pam! This is outstanding and so very clever! I would love to see a full shot of this too if you could. You nailed this challenge. I like the gray shadowing around the shapes too. So all of it was done in water color? Thanks for joining us.

Love this, Pam. Yes, the grey shadow completes the look. Love the watercoloring.

I don't understand how you gals are getting a good stamped impression if you are stamping over a brass stencil??? Am I missing something? Probably.

No stamping on mine. Two stencils. I used a pen to outline the shapes in the stencils and then watercolors the design.
Farley, that's the whole piece. I made a card with it. The stencil is a full circular shape. Used about 1/4 of the design.
