Circus scrapbook

Post by nchoney »

Sweet and simple... my style. LOL I used LOTS of diecuts from the Silhouette and also from my Slice cutter, too. I'm not sure if I'll go back and add any journaling, or not. Right now, the goal was to get them onto pages and into an album. I've got the big program booklet, too... so there's lots of info in that. The first page ... or those first inside pages... will also have our tickets on them once I locate them in my house again. I put 'em somewhere safe.... right? LOL

That's great! I have some of that paper too - no idea why or how but the B sides are pretty versatile!

what a great book, you do have some super photos!

I've been to one circus, my daughter was very small. I doubt we even took photos :tomato:

That was my first trip to a circus....

I'd been to Circus World down in Florida back when I was in high school.... but not an actual circus... even though they've been coming to Norfolk for decades...

and I'm sure I'll do some journaling about that, somewhere in there...

Those are great! I especially love the trumpet cut. ;)

Wonder what's going to happen to all of the animals and performers now that the circus has closed? I never went to one and wish I had.

I think they already had the elephants heading to a retirement facility.... so there may be the same kind of thing for the tigers and camels... I'm guessing the poodles have a happy home :-)

I'm sure Ringling Bros. had other animals in their other circus acts, too... apparently there was another crew of performers doing a different performance out west... not sure what animals they had. But hopefully, they all were going to a place where they could just have some fun being critters.

Awesome pages Debi. You've worked hard. I particularly liked the human canon ball dies. Very funny and clever.
Never been to a circus.

I love the zoom on this camera.... and being able to take digital photos and toss out the ones that don't turn out well... this one does really well in low light situations, too... flash is out of the question from that far away, but this thing picks up the light :-)

Do tell what kind of camera you used. I have a new one for birding with an amazing zoom that I am loving. Makes me look like I know what I'm doing.

Love your circus album, Debi! Your photos are fabulous, papers and embellishments perfect. You've reminded me I've got circus photos to scrap, and with circuses going the way of the dodo I think it's a worthwhile addition to the scrapbooks.

Farley.... it's a Kodak digital camera... one of the last they made before they recently started making them again.... crazy Kodak... I'll have to look at it later to tell you the specs

Keitha.... I guess it's just circuses in the US that are disappearing.... seems the tigers are going back to Germany with their owner and may wind up in a circus over there... but if it took 60 years for me to get to my first circus in the US, I doubt I'll see one in Germany... LOL
