July Use It Challenge #1 - Photo Added

Post by pbp908 »

Fibers and ribbons and lace! Oh my!

If you're like me, you have a lot of it in a box somewhere. We still love it, pull it out sometimes and look at it, but then put it back in the box thinking "I really need to either use this or get rid of it." I challenge you (and myself) to use it on a card, a LO, an ATC, a journal page, or some other creative way. I have a beribboned art doll made by Rachelle that I love! Get creative!

This is the newest addition to our house - his name is Bugs Bunny. AKA dammitcat. He's a 14 week old Manx and the spawn of a demon.

Oh dear.... I think I can find a use for some of that... time to make up some more cards, maybe.... it's easy to add ribbon to those :-)

I actually pulled this piece of heavy twine from the trash can. I don't remember where it came from and is a bit too stiff for what I normally do. This one has been on my desk for a couple of days and now it's finished except for the journaling. I have some questions to ask Kenan. His answers will be the journaling. His parents forgot to take pictures at his birthday party. I raised them better than that, too.

Nice job, Pams!
I'll see what I can do to join in the challenges now that we are home.
I purged ribbon a few years ago and only kept what I love or will actually use. All the furry, fluffy, sparkly stuff went. What were we thinking?

Do I have ribbons? Having been a Hearty Appetite CS member...heck yeah I have ribbons.

PamP your LO is adorable. Terrific colors for your darling photos. Love the big grey heart behind the photos.

PamC I am laughing at you taking twine out of the waste can and putting it to fabulous use! Terrific LO.

PamP, adore that Fizz layout. Really cute.

PamC, I thought I was the only garbage picker around here. In addition to the recycled twine, I really like all your layering.

Great layouts ladies! Pam P, adorable photos. Demon spawn kittens are still cute, aren't they?
Pam C, I agree about the layering here, nicely done embellishment clusters. Are these products from a kit?
I can see I've got some catching up to do now that I'm home.

The embellishments were from The Great Outdoors kit I bought last year. The background paper is a scrap (has circles cut out of it) and all the others are from my scrap basket. The map paper might be from CS? If anyone has any of it and wants to send it to me...The map is of western WA (where Kenan lives with his parents). I love that paper...

Hold on to your hat...I made a layout. I actually used a layout found in Cricut Design Space.

This is my grandson Oliver, in the green pants/stripe shirt in the front, with other children in his Bunny Room child care at UCLA just before he turned 1 year old. The kids always were doing something creative, and they had a blast. Oliver would always need a good clean up when he got home! I think this was the fall of 2013.
