Shimelle's challenge
Re: Shimelle's challenge
Wow Debbie what fabulous photos and terrific LOs to show them all off.
I use dry bags for my cell phone when kayaking. Lots of choices on Amazon.

I'm posting this as "Something Big". It's 4 generations. That's my Aunt Jeannine, granddaughter Ashley, daughter Janina. and me.
This is also the Hip Kit Sketch for July.

Re: Shimelle's challenge
Great layout! These multi-generation photos always have a special place in my heart.
I'm glad you're doing these challenges. I incorporated many of the ideas in my personal July challenge. It was really fun. I might do it again this fall.

This challenge is using a favorite quotation. I used the one by Pablo Picasso. "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
This was the first time I took the light rail to Phoenix. It drops off right in front of the Heard Museum. I spent several hours there and loved the Frida and Diego exhibit.

That is a wonderful quote, Debbie, so true! Glad you go there.
Re: Shimelle's challenge
Here is my oldest granddaughter, Caitlin with her Papa. Rod gave Caitlin this car and she has it safely tucked away in a storage unit and plans to drive away in it from the church on her wedding day. That might be awhile as she's terribly picky and can't find a young man worth her time yet!!!Which I'm very happy about.
This was Rod's pride and joy. His Ford Falcon 1962 fully restored by himself.

Re: Shimelle's challenge
Just catching up on this thread. Debbie, you've got some wonderful layouts here - from the interpretation of the challenges, to the photos, to the pages themselves. Keep 'em coming!
Re: Shimelle's challenge
Beautiful pages and I'm so glad Rod was able to see how happy he made his granddaughter! The classic cars are rather precious to their owners. I know she'll treasure it.

Re: Shimelle's challenge
It seems like the kids get younger and younger when they have to wear braces. Here is Jak with braces on his 2 front teeth. This is the challenge Something Said. It says Jak said YAY! NOT.
That piece of paper with the scallop was from packaging that I liked and couldn't throw away and the two pieces of leaf paper are also from packaging. I also used oxide distress ink for the teal piece under the photo.
