Wow that sunset!

Perfect papers Jen, I believe you must have a stash of photos that could go with everything!
We stopped in Solvang once, late 70's I think. I remember cookies!

So, no surprise that for a travel challenge, that I'd dig up some photos from Disney World. This was a quick getaway that Rob and I did without the kids last January. I'm telling you, Disney without your kids is quite an enjoyable experience. :-) Also, some of you may recognize another Disney weekender in one of my photos - when Lisa saw a FB post that I was there when she was, we made it a point to meetup for a cocktail. That's what the pineapple is - and it was outstanding.

Another layout about travel....sorta.

Layout is a direct copy of one I saw from Mercy Tiara on YouTube. She used sequins around the entire frame. I lost interest after twenty. Who knows? I may go back some day and add some more. But I doubt it. I'm not fiddly like that.

In the 80's and 90's, our good friend Bill from Pompano Beach (originally Cincinnati like us), visited us nearly every weekend in the fall. He was quite the joker and on one of his trips, he showed up with this suitcase. He was a funny guy. (I sincerely none of you are carrying around a suitcase like this thinking it's the best thing on earth). Anyway, I used Moroccan Spice and stamps from Comics and Tilescapes. I also used my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform for the first time on a layout. Works like a charm. I love it. Thanks for looking. This is my last layout for Summer PSL. Thank goodness.

P.S. Suitcase = Travel, right???

That's a cool layout. I really like the sequins.

Did you say, Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, where did you get it?

Here's my Summertime Travel layout - a road trip taken with a girlfriend in June to tour the barn quilts in Prince Edward County. 19 photos; I only wanted one layout but to use as many photos as I could - Scrapbook Generation sketch to the rescue. Given the subject matter I'm hoping it puts you in mind of a quilt, I even added some sewing. With a nod to the August scrap challenge as I don't make cards, all papers from my scrap bag except the white cardstock. Not sure I love the Thickers I used for the title but they're there to stay.

That turned out great, much better than you made it sound!
The white is a wonderful background and the strips of paper down the sides anchor it all and make a perfect place for all the other goodies-ticket shapes, arrows, etc. I really like the pops of color in the title, perfect!

The barn quilt pieces are so pretty! I never seem to get good photos as we run across them during our travels. Your layout is just perfect!

I have been to nearly all the states and traveled a lot and have never seen one of those. That's on my bucket list. Love how you incorporated so many photos on your layout.

I apologize for hijacking your thread, Keitha, but I wanted to share this old layout about Kentucky Quilt Barns.
