My brother and my niece visited us for a week in June and one of our day trips was a train ride through the Royal Gorge.

Wow, that looks like a lot of fun. That suspension bridge looks scary, did you go on it?

Thanks, ladies. Debbie, no we did not go across the bridge. Tom and I have done the train ride twice now and it's fun and relaxing to have lunch on the train and look at the beautiful scenery down in the gorge, but we've never gone across the bridge and into the amusement park on the other side. No personal vehicles are allowed on the bridge (which I believe is the world's highest suspension bridge and spans more than 1200' across the gorge). You either walk or take their tram-like transportation.

Great pages, Sue! I'm adding that train ride to my bucket list if I ever get to Colorado.

Oh, gosh. Just looking at that bridge creeps me out. I have a few phobias but that is one of them.

Sue these are terrific LOs of what must have been a great trip.

I remember when I was little (5?) taking a tram down into the Gorge. I loved it but I recall my mom was terrified. As for that bridge...no thanks.

I'm trying to catch up with our holiday album to Austria a few years ago. We had a great day visiting this impressive waterfall.

Stunning Kathryn! Those photos - I could look at them for hours. The thistle against the dark sky - so pretty!
