Okay, Okay, Okay...I'll do it!!! I've had a scrap hankering for awhile but I've been too busy with needed cards. So this will "make" me do at least one LO. Heaven knows I have no shortage of photos and paper to work with.

Her's a link to the funniest blog post I've ever read. Language is a bit salty at times but it's worth it. Every.single.time I see a chicken statue, I think of this post.

Yes, I figure I have about 4 weeks to make one LO.

Tears are streaming down my face from laughing. I love that Beyonce stares at him through his office window.

I had saved this blog post as a favorite, but hadn't read it again in ages. I couldn't resist - I "liked" Beyonce's FB page.

I love Pam's sketch and was initially drawn to the polka dots. After spending 3 days wondering why I didn't like the papers I pulled, I decided to follow the LO but use houses as a community theme since Pat was teaching Macie the Pledge of Allegiance. And once again, I forgot to put the date on - July 4, 2016.

OMGosh PamP your LO is adorable. Love the paper (I'm sure I have that house one also) and I especially love the subject. What a perfect moment to scrap this weekend.

Great layout! Lots of inspiration for my turn. I'll blend this challenge into my trip layouts that I'm working on this weekend.

What a great topic hijack, Pat! And that chicken story was one of the funniest blog posts ever!

I love the house paper and the photo, Pam P.

Once I get home, I might have to sign up for this challenge. But I can't promise any chickens!

I've since altered the page - the large flower on the left felt overwhelming to me, so it's been replaced with a much smaller piece. I think if Macie had been larger in the photo it would have worked.

My new creative mantra - if it bothers you, fix it. ;)

Great layouts ladies. I'll be back at work in a couple weeks and no doubt slammed, otherwise I'd consider joining in.

You're not the only one with a chicken layout, Pat. Does anyone remember the QuicKutz Funky Chicken die, back in the day? Fairly useless unless one lives on a farm, but I had to have it. It did get pressed into service on a few tags and such, and of course I was thrilled to have a bona fide reason to put them on a layout. This is a page from my New Zealand album, about the feral chickens near Scott's Memorial on the South Island. You may know that buttons are my scrapping nemesis - so the inclusion of both buttons and funky chickens on this page made it a win indeed!

FERAL CHICKENS?!
No way! OMG I love it. More than that, I love that they're memorialized on a scrapbook layout - with chicken paper and buttons. That's the best.ever.

Keitha you are really making great use of your free time this weekend! LOVE this LO and I especially love your funky chicken. Adorable.

In our Sacramento area there is Fair Oaks Village. One of the things it is noted for besides little shops and restaurants are the CHICKENS hanging out in the Village Square. (history of them being there is amusing). We often staged bike rides from that spot and would be inundated with chickens milling about and roosters crowing. This September is the 9th Annual Chicken Festival. I think I should go but I understand parking and the crowds are crazy. Not sure if they are considered feral or not. Don't know how they are fed but they've been there for many, many years.
