I've seen some gorgeous desert landscapes, Debbie.

I was very surprised when we went to Phoenix to see many Aussie plants we were familiar with as well as the cacti and other very bright flowers. It was much more colorful than I expected.

I like that very much. Cute gardening paper and photo!

Yes, Ray gets very homesick when he goes to CA and sees all the eucalyptus trees and other Aussie plants. The jacarandas were blooming when we were in Phoenix. They are his favorites.

I always wanted a Jacaranda tree. I think I read that it wasn't good for my zone. I used to have a couple of bottlebrush trees, which I think are Australian. I lost them in a freeze back in 1990. My pride and joy was a silver dollar eucalyptus trees that I had in the back yard. We called it our money tree.

Yes, bottlebrushes are Australian. We were surprised to see one in a garden in the UK in a protected spot. Ray laments that I wasn't from the West Coast so he could have lived in CA instead of over here on the East Coast.

Thanks, Pam. The picture was just taken a couple of months ago. There were other people in the picture so I cropped it, enlarged my brother, changed it to black and white and then put some tinted transparency frames over him. There's also a transparency frame over the rock climber.

What an interesting layout, Sue. I like the way you placed the embellishment lower right. Is it a heartbeat trace? is it a mountain range? It really symbolises the effort of rock-climbing!

The tinted transparency is what threw me. The shoes looked current and the tone didn't. It so artistic - I do love it!

Hi Kathryn, it's a Silhouette Cameo cut - I think it is called Mountain Pulse.
