August 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge

Post by ScrappinJen »

I have been dilly-dallying about getting this post up because I wanted to have a sample. Alas, I've been working on other things so you'll just have to muddle through on your own. I was planning to post a two pager even before Keitha's plea so this is my first option.

I also want to play along with a challenge from the Cut Shoppe so I'm posting this single page sketch for those of you who prefer one page.

Get to it, folks. Happy August.

Great sketches Jen! And thanks for the option of the one pager which I am more likely to do. But who knows, I may be able to give the double LO a go as well.

Thanks Jen. The double-page sketch has possibilities; I should be able to use that. And I might even get around to the single at some point!

I actually just ordered prints for the two page layout. Crossing my fingers I can get this done tonight.

Just got a photo today that might work for the one page layout - and I can use some of the Police papers I have stashed from my daughter...

First I must go to my hair appointment, so perhaps after dinner I can work on it!

They have to do the journaling. Zain did not like the butterflies fluttering around him. Not one bit. He did like the cake. You would not know it from the picture. Boys.

This was pretty far outside my comfort zone. I wanted to use more saturated colors - not sure why I was led to these. I don't like to make pages with a lot of photos anymore but it's done and I don't hate it. ;)

Pam your pages are great. I LOVE the horizontal line of enamel dots traveling the length of the LO. Another great idea for them!

I like it a lot, too. Especially those dots. I know what you mean about that many photos. I had my doubts about this sketch before posting it. I may not use as many. Uh oh. Thanks for playing so quickly.

I really like both pages, Pam. It may not be trendy but I still love the large space that a double pager gives you. I like the flow across two pages. Two pages are across from each other in an album, why shouldn't they work together if you have the photos for it. And practically with the number of photos we all take, who's going to live long enough to only scrap 1 or 2 to a page. Sure Project Life pages are a solution but a double page layout is a lot faster.

I had some free time this afternoon... Don't need to plan/cook dinner as we are going to our Camaro meeting & put to eat afterwards! So I got right to work, Kate got to go to the police department for take your kid to work day yesterday, so I thought this photo deserved its own page.

Very nice, Nancy! The papers are perfect for the hiking layout. Are they CS?

Kate looks so big. Cute layout of her going to work.
