February 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Re: February 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Great LO Nancy! (It's upside down for me). There must have been an OM plant in the East Bay...I saw this mobile on a regular basis growing up in San Leandro.

it's upside down on my iPad, right side up on my desk-top. Go figure.

It's upside down for me too. I put my iPad on screen lock and turned my iPad upside down and it looks good! Nice job!

I still like it a lot. Thanks for the tip on locking my screen.
Re: February 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Dont faint...but I did a LO today!!! I followed Jen's sketch fairly closely. Of course it's a page on birding. What else? I tried to use a lot of prints and for the embellishment I stamped, cut and colored feathers. I love the background paper from Studio Calico. I felt it represented the 20,000 Gulls I saw that day. Circles for some reason are always a challenge for me so I decided I had to try this sketch.

What a great choice of papers, Farley. They really give the feeling of being in the midst of a vast flock of gulls. You did a good job colouring the feathers too! Now all you've got to do is to spot a bird with feathers like these. That could really make your day.

Love the layout Farley. That background paper is perfect.
Re: February 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Thanks Kathryn and Debbie for your comments. I'm excited to have scrapped something. It's been ages for me.
Yes kathryn those would be fun feathers on a real bird. I used the light colors from my base paper to repeat in the feathers. Grey with light green, pink and turquoise was an appealing combo.

Good job, Farley! That base paper is perfect 'gull' paper.
Re: February 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Yeah Farley! That background paper is perfect for this, and beautiful feathers!
Re: February 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Farley! Great page along with everything they've already said.
I'm not one to use large circles either but this sketch has worked so well.

What a flock of seagulls. Great layout and paper choices. So happy you joined in on this challenge this month. I woke up this morning with the thoughts of planning my next sketch. Yikes.

Yep, I'm super early this month but my day tomorrow is full of Red Carpet and Oscars and then on Monday I'll be busy preparing my Christmas card challenge cards. So if you are finished with this sketch, move on over to the new one here.
